Aimee Song Debuts a Shoe Collection with Revolve

Publish date: 2024-05-21

It was 2019 when Revolve enlisted Aimee Song for an apparel collection, the first time that the American retailer had done so with an influencer. As the founder of Song of Style, the former interior designer amassed a hefty and loyal following of fans (5.5 million on her personal Instagram account) who identify with her California-chic aesthetic. Today, Song is continuing her winning streak with Revolve, debuting accessories to round out her clothes.

“I think adding shoes to the Song of Style line has made it feel complete,” Song tells BAZZAR.com. “The Song of Style woman is bold and energetic yet also very feminine. We design what women actually want to wear. Our women appreciate beauty but also want to feel comfortable and feel like the best version of themselves.”

Indeed, the new line serves as a perfect complement to the clothing that was introduced last year. For example, the vibrancy of her Sunny Heel pairs nicely with the Cleo Midi Dress, cast in prints of bananas and oranges; the Emery Sandal is basically an extension of the Rooney Knit Pants; and the Nola Heel adds pizzazz to the Tucker Mini Dress, an outfit that will certainly turn heads.

“The collection is colorful, poetic, and inspired by all the things that I do such as going to meetings, grabbing food with friends, dancing in the streets, or in my living room,” she explains. “I wanted to create a collection of beautiful shoes that were wearable and could do all those things.”

Though Song’s collection is ideal for going out on the town, there is no escaping that the world has changed since 2019. The coronavirus has effectively mandated that everyone stay in their homes, barring any meetings or brunch dates, which are perfectly suited for showing off the Song of Style footwear. Basically, do shoppers still value new styles during this trying time? Song, to a degree, thinks so.

“I can only speak for myself, but I’m only purchasing things that I know I will love,” she says. “[It’s] less about getting the next trendy thing but more about pieces that will make me feel good. Some newness definitely helps me get excited about the change of weather.”

To her point, there will be a time (hopefully soon) when life returns to some semblance of normalcy. We are certainly planning on dancing in the streets and grabbing food with friends again, and thanks to Song, we now have a complete outfit for all those activities.
