Jenna Ortega singlehandedly started a fashion and beauty movement this winter: Wednesday-core. And as we look back at the year's empowering womenswear trends—exposed lingerie, oversized everything, Barbiecore, mini miniskirts—nothing seems more fitting.

As the star of Wednesday, Netflix's supernatural comedy horror series based on the character Wednesday Addams by cartoonist Charles Addams, Ortega flawlessly plays the quirky girl known for her black braids, moody wardrobe, dark makeup, and love of the macabre.

Even off the screen, the actress has continued to embody her character, bringing Wednesday's goth style to the streets—while making it look impossibly chic.

For an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she opted for a sheer black dress with a white collar and sleeves by Dolce & Gabbana, which she layered over a silky black bodysuit and cinched with a large metallic silver belt. She finished the look with glossy black platform heels, silver jewelry by Grace Lee and KATKIM, and a dark cat eye.

For a talk on Good Morning America, Ortega wore a sleek black suit and tie, paired with a matching black trench coat, silver platform heels, a maroon handbag, and pearl-drop earrings.

She debuted one of her most Wednesday-core looks at the world premiere of the series, which took place last month at the Hollywood Legion Theater in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Ortega looked striking in a black crinkled gown with an exposed bra, cutouts embellished with lace details, and a high leg slit.

She paired the piece with strappy black platform heels, a black veil, and silver jewelry. For glam, she opted for a dark eye, straight hair, and pointy black chrome nails.

For an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ortega put a sexy spin on her character's goth look, stepping out in an asymmetrical black Dion Lee dress, which featured a major leg slit and underboob cutouts—covered with a sheer fabric embellished with lace.

She paired the bold gown with black platform Christian Louboutin heels and brought the contrast with a pointy red manicure and pedicure, and a red lip. Her hair was styled in a pretty, wavy 'do, and she wore Ananya and Grace Lee jewelry.

Ortega was absolutely stunning at the Critics Choice Association's second annual celebration of Latino cinema and television at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

The actress brought her inner Wednesday to the gala in a sheer black one-shoulder gown, with exposed lingerie underneath, and platform heels. She accessorized with a massive diamond ring, flaunted a bloodred manicure, and had her hair in a messy updo with strands framing her face.
