America Ferrera's Knit Chanel Dress Has Little Bows All Over

This Barbie is a Chanel darling.

America Ferrera was the most glamorous party guest last night in New York City, at the opening of the brand’s new watch and fine jewelry flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue.

The Barbie actor attended the event and star-studded dinner in a look that perfectly championed the fashion world’s ongoing obsession with bows. It was a sheer black knit dress from the Parisian fashion house. The piece was entirely black at the top, breaking into horizontal stripes at the skirt, where the open-weave design included pretty black bows dancing between blocks of black fabric.

Ferrera wore the see-through maxi dress over a black bodysuit, and paired it simply with glossy black round-toe pumps and a long coat with ornate gold buttons and red and white tweed embellishments on the sides.

Like fellow celebrity attendee Katie Holmes, Ferrera elevated the sultry, coquette look further with a large white diamond necklace—hers in the form of a dazzling shooting star. She also accessorized with a black rectangular leather clutch and a big diamond ring. She wore her brunette hair in a straight bob and opted for minimal makeup.

Chanel’s new two-story boutique is the first stand-alone store in the United States dedicated entirely to the fashion house’s watches and fine jewelry. Other notable names in attendance at the unveiling included Gracie Abrams, Lucy Boynton, Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, Seth Meyers, Natasha Lyonne, Kerry Washington, Rachel Brosnahan, Dianna Agron, Francesca Scorsese, and Chase Sui Wonders.
