Beyonc Is Angelic in a White One-Shoulder Corset and Matching Harem Pants

Publish date: 2024-05-23

Beyoncé launched her new hair care line in the most stylish way possible.

On Tuesday, the superstar hosted a launch party for Cécred in Los Angeles. The dress code? All-white everything.

For her own outfit, she decided to pull a nearly head-to-toe look from Prabal Gurung’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear runway, consisting of an angelic one-shoulder corset tucked into a pair of pleated high-rise harem pants. Other elements of the monochromatic look included a gauzy, nearly transparent parachute cover-up and ivory pointed-toe boots.

She capped off the look with her signature flair, opting for silver-rimmed cat-eye sunglasses and diamond jewelry by De Beers.

The “Plastic Off the Sofa” singer first teased the hair care line in an Instagram post in May 2023. “How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” she wrote. (Matriarch Tina Knowles serves as vice chairman for the new brand.)

“As a Black founder, it was important to me to concentrate on where I saw the greatest need for healthy hair care and to place scientific innovation and product performance above all else,” Beyoncé said in a statement on Cécred’s launch. “We started by prioritizing the needs of textured hair like mine, along with other types and textures that need more moisture and strength. My entire life and career, I’ve worn my hair in so many different ways: natural, flat-ironed, braids, colored, weaves, wigs. I want everyone to have the freedom to express their hair in ways that make them feel good, so I began by creating the essentials for hair and scalp health.” One Bazaar editor got a guided introduction to Cécred’s eight inaugural products from Ms. Tina herself—here’s what she thought.
