Candice Swanepoel wears naked dress

Another day, another celebrity wearing a naked dress on the red carpet. At last night's Tony Awards, Candice Swanepoel adopted the seemingly ubiquitous trend in a Prabal Gurung gown.

The Victoria's Secret Angel shimmered in the Bordeaux strapless dress, which was adorned with hand-embroidered floating crystals; the bodice was also decorated in intricate beading. The lower part of the dress was completely sheer to reveal the model's full briefs.

Swanepoel brought the man behind her gown, Prabal Gurung, as her date. On Instagram, the designer referred to the model as his "muse".

Last week's CFDA Awards hinted that the naked dress was falling out of favour with the rich and famous, after stars wore decidedly more covered-up ensembles. However, for Swanepoel at least, the preferred current way of making red carpet impact is still with a barely-there gown.
