Cardi B Wore Balenciaga Sneakers as a Corset to Offsets Birthday
Who says the only way to wear sneakers is on your feet?
Cardi B put a subversive spin on footwear while attending husband Offset's 30th birthday party last night. For the occasion, she wore a pair of black, white, and neon-green Balenciaga sneakers deconstructed to form a custom lace-up corset, designed by sustainable streetwear brand Frisk Me Good. The rapper also wore a matching bra top crafted by Los Angeles–based designer Rey Ortiz.
She paired the outfit with black leggings, strappy neon-green heels, and plenty of sparkling jewelry, including embellished hoop earrings, a stack of bracelets, and a diamond chain necklace featuring multiple Playboy Bunny charms.

The eye-grabbing Playboy necklace was designed by celebrity jeweler Elliot Eliantte, whose clientele roster includes people like Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Future, and more. The jeweler previously told Page Six that Cardi's Bunny necklace was made with more than 160 carats of VS1 diamonds and more than 750 grams of 14-karat gold, pricing the unique accoutrement at $400,000.
The chain is an apt accessory for the 29-year-old Grammy winner, who was announced earlier this month to be Playboy magazine's first-ever creative director in residence.
"It is a dream come true to officially join the Playboy family," Cardi said in a statement, per People. "For as long as I can remember, I've felt connected to Playboy. It's truly the original platform for uncensored creativity and I'm inspired by its incredible legacy of fighting for personal freedoms. I have so many ideas already–I can't wait!"
To celebrate the milestone, Cardi's longtime stylist, Kollin Carter, dressed her in the custom Eliantte chain, a sparkling deconstructed Prada skirt-turned-minidress, and gold heels by Femme LA.
