Bond films are as synonymous with glamour as they are with action - something which Ana de Armas has always been drawn to. The actress joins the franchise for its latest instalment, the long-awaited No Time To Die, which is finally set for release this week after 18 months of delays.

"I've always loved Bond films - the glamour, the locations and the fantasy of that universe," she explains in our exclusive glimpse behind-the-scenes during filming.

De Armas plays Paloma, a "badass" Cuban agent who accompanies Bond to help him complete his latest mission.

"There is this sense of humour to her, and this simplicity - and something fresh that is very unexpected, especially in these kinds of roles," the actress explains. That no-nonsense simplicity was also reflected through the character's wardrobe; in the on-set footage we see her performing action stunts in a beautiful black silk dress and heels, paired with glittering Chopard jewellery.

"My wardrobe was very elegant but at the same time very simple," she says. "We knew that the action was so intense that we had to be practical about it. We didn't want to have anything that was too big, or dangerous for myself or someone else."

Chopard is the official jewellery partner of the franchise, so naturally de Armas had plenty of beautiful pieces to choose from.

"We finally found these three pieces - earrings, a necklace and bracelet," she recalls. "They were very simple but with the right amount of sparkle and really elegant."

The actress has developed a special relationship with jewellery, and is a global ambassador for the Natural Diamond Council, a leading authority and resource on natural diamonds for consumers and the industry.

"They've been helping me educate myself," she says of her work with the council. "It feels good not just to buy something that’s beautiful and pretty, but also where it feels like these companies are giving back to the community. People want accountability and to know that everything is being done in an ethical way, and you feel good when you buy it, whatever product that is."
