Publish date: 2024-06-08

Summer is officially here, and that means droves of fashionable city-dwellers will spend their weekends at the beach. While they may be leaving Manhattan, they won't be without urban conveniences as more and more chic hotels, nightlife hotspots, and high-end restaurants open near the shore. This season also welcomes a plethora of new shopping destinations — both pop-up and permanent. Here, some of our favorite, not-to-be-missed boutiques from Sag Harbor to Montauk.

Cynthia Rowley has opened a hidden gem of a beach store (shown here), marked only by a neon "shop" sign. With plans to stay open year-round, wares like Meyerhoffer surfboards, Cynthia Rowley for Roxy, and ready-to-wear, as well as mini temporary boutiques like Lauren Bush for FEED and a patisserie by Arden Wohl, it will surely become a Montauk institution. 696 Montauk Highway
