How Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Feel About Their 10-Year Age Difference
Some fans may be (unnecessarily) critical of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's relationship due to their 10-year age difference, even months after they became husband and wife. However, the newlyweds—born in 1992 and 1982 respectively—couldn't care less about the gap.
Priyanka points out that there's a double standard behind the backlash.
In an interview with InStyle published in June 2019, Chopra said of the critics of her and her husband's age gap: "People gave us a lot of shit about that and still do."
She also pointed out the double standard behind the criticism: that a woman is more likely to be judged for having a younger partner than a man is. "I find it really amazing when you flip it and the guy is older, no one cares and actually people like it," she told the magazine.
They're not concerned with their ages.
"The age difference is not a big deal to them whatsoever," a source close to Jonas told People in July 2018.
In fact, Nick "loves dating older women, and if anything it makes Priyanka even more attractive to him," the source added. Jonas has "always been very mature for his age” and is “an old soul," per the confidante. Chopra even joked in an interview that she calls her hubby "Old Man Jonas."

In 2016, when he was 23, Jonas had a rumored fling with Kate Hudson, who was 37 at the time. Earlier in 2018, fans speculated he was flirting with Jenna Dewan, 37, on Instagram.
Even though Nick may be a fan of dating older women, he was drawn to Priyanka for more reasons than just her age. "He obviously thinks she’s beautiful, but he’s also drawn to her intelligence," the insider added. "She has this charisma and energy that draws you to her, and she’s fit in so well with his friends and family."

In July 2018, it was reported that Jonas and Chopra became engaged after two months of dating. The singer and Quantico star have yet to respond to or confirm the news, but sources say he popped the question in London around the time of her birthday on July 18. He even reportedly closed down a whole Tiffany & Co. store so he could choose the ring. They tied the knot in December that year.
