How to Shop the Gap and Dapper Dan Hoodie Before It Sells Out Again

Publish date: 2024-05-17

When a new fashion collab acquires a lot of buzz, there's always the chance that it will sell out quickly. For Gap's collection with Dapper Dan, acting fast wasn't enough the first time. Between a few technical glitches and insurmountable traffic on the all-American retailer's site, many shoppers came up empty-handed. However, those who were unable to secure one of the lineup's logo-emblazoned hoodies in the initial drop are getting another opportunity to bring it into their wardrobe. And thanks to the Harlem-based designer, you can now buy yours before they're gone.

On March 29, the famed creative announced to his more than 730,000 followers on Instagram that they would be able to preorder a second drop with Gap as a token of appreciation for their outpouring of support. "I love y'all so much that to show my affection, I'm extending the collection, and giving you a heads up for protection to cop it," the designer captioned his post.

On offer are four cotton-blend, hooded sweatshirts, designed in the quintessential Gap aesthetic. But what sets them apart from the bunch is the word "DAP" where the brand's logo would typically live—an homage to the Dapper Dan himself. The wardrobe staple is available in a range of colors, including powder blue, yellow, rose pink, and black.
