Jennifer Lopez Is Radiant as the Face of Dolce&Gabbana's New Eyewear Collection
Last year, as fashion insiders may recall, Jennifer Lopez shut down Venice when she showed up at the Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda runway show in the most regal turquoise ensemble, shining a light on the fine craftsmanship and gloriously maximalist designs of the Italian fashion house and setting herself as the ultimate Dolce&Gabbana muse.
And the looks haven't stopped coming. In one of the first photos taken of her and now husband Ben Affleck after they rekindled their romance last year, Lopez was seen looking relaxed on a yacht with her man, wearing a colorful, long-sleeved, patchwork-printed minidress by Dolce&Gabbana. And last month, while on a solo Italian holiday after she and Affleck married in Las Vegas, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer stepped out in a floral sundress from the brand.
Now, not surprisingly, the fashion house has chosen Lopez as the face of its new luxe eyewear collaboration with EssilorLuxottica.
"I've always been a fan of Dolce&Gabbana's timeless elegance. The collections are full of personality," Lopez tells BAZAAR.com, adding that the brand always manages to "weave tradition and art into every piece."

Shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign photos show Lopez in all her golden glamour, posing in different eyewear alongside British model David Gandy. The pieces debuted during the house's spring/summer 2022 runway show and were inspired by the "bold aesthetic of the early 2000s," per the brand. In the mix are cat-eye frames, oversized styles, and pilot shapes.
Lopez says her favorite style from the collection is the black sunglass design with a removable clip-on visor—she loves how "futuristic" the glasses look.

She also notes that her style is "forever evolving." Over the years, she's gone from a cool and edgy "Jenny from the Block" streetwear queen to an "On the Floor" red-carpets-and-Lake-Como-holidays glamazon, but a few signature pieces have endured the test of time: her wedges, her hoop earrings, her Hermès Birkins, and her sunglasses.
"I'm a big fan of sunglasses," she admits. "I've accumulated too many pairs to count over the years. This new Dolce&Gabbana eyewear collection features my favorite classic cat-eye and shield shapes that have vintage inspiration."
As we transition into autumn, the new Mrs. Affleck reveals to BAZAAR the five pieces from her closet she cannot live without: "a pair of black Dolce&Gabbana sunglasses, of course, a great pair of well-fitting jeans, a blazer or coat, an iconic bag that can go with every outfit, and a statement piece of jewelry."
