Jimmy Choo has launched heated boots just in time for winter
Jimmy Choo has devised the ingenious idea of heated boots, and they're available to buy now. Incorporating wearable technology that we can truly get behind, the ankle snow boots feature a heated insole that's activated through a bespoke mobile app.
The device is charged by a USB cable, cleverly hidden under the hand-tooled collar, and temperatures can be set from 25° to 45° C. The heated soles last up to eight hours before they'll need to be charged again. A shearling lining creates added warmth.

In terms of design, the moon boots are still visually appealing, imbuing the brand's signature sleekness, and are available to pre-order now for men and women in black, white and navy, priced at £1,250. While most shoppers will undoubtedly style theirs with jeans, they'll also work well with midi dresses and tights.
"The Jimmy Choo Voyager represents the first step into an exciting new territory," said Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi. "Wearable technology is still in its infancy and our first consideration when developing the Jimmy Choo Voyager was functionality. We asked ourselves the question: What tasks would you have your shoes fulfil?”
“A boot that warms the feet seemed like the ultimate luxury, but a fundamentally practical one — after all, what could be more luxurious on a freezing day than using your phone to remotely keep your feet beautifully snug? The Jimmy Choo Voyager is a boot like no other.”
If there's one thing that will make winter bearable, it's the idea of warm feet both indoors and outside.
