Kate Middleton Bundles Up in Cozy Coat and Slouchy Boots in Boston
The Princess of Wales's autumnal wardrobe has officially received the New England treatment.
For her third engagement of the day, Kate channeled fall colors while traveling to East Boston. She bundled up in a long, double-breasted trench coat in a dark brown hue, matching the rest of her accessories to the earthy color palette. A scarf, gloves, and slouchy pointed suede boots composed the rest of the monochromatic ensemble. For a pop of color, Kate wore a bright orange knit turtleneck dress.
Prince William joined his wife on the outing, where he wore a dark blue coat, a speckled blue scarf, navy trousers, and brown suede dress shoes.

During their visit in East Boston, the couple met with Mayor Michelle Wu and environmental organization representatives from Boston Harbor Now, Stone Living Lab, the Trustees of Reservations, and The Harborkeepers to talk about the issues climate change poses to the city's shoreline.
Earlier in the day, the Waleses made a stop at Greentown Labs, a tech start-up that supports entrepreneurs who want to provide sustainable solutions to climate change. Then, Kate wore a sleek wine-colored suit, which she paired with a baby pink blouse with a pussy bow collar, plum suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi, and a quilted Chanel handbag.

The couple is Stateside for the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards, a ceremony that will honor five innovators for their achievements in environmentalism. This marks their first trip to the United States since 2014 and their first overseas trip since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
"I would like to thank the people of Massachusetts and particularly of Boston for their many tributes paid to the late Queen," William said in a statement released shortly after the couple landed at Boston Logan International Airport. "She remembered her 1976 bicentennial visit with great fondness. My grandmother was one of life's optimists. And so am I. That is why last year we launched the Earthshot Prize with the ambition to create a truly global platform to inspire hope and urgent optimism as we look to save the future of our planet."
