Katie Holmes Wears Her Famous Cardigan for a Fresh Workwear Take
You don't have to be a fashion authority to remember Katie Holmes's viral cardigan moment from 2019—as in the cashmere set by Khaite she famously wore while hailing a cab in Manhattan. Now as the temperature begin to rise across NYC, Holmes has turned to her trusted knitwear once again.
The Dawson's Creek actress was recently spotted wearing the famous Khaite cardigan over a pair of mint-green Dickies overalls, which she layered over a plain white tee. In the spirit of minimalism, which pulling off workwear occasionally requires, she kept her accessories to a minimum: a plain black-strapped cross-body bag, a deep-green face mask, and plain white sneakers. She also wore her hair up in a loose bun.

When the actress first stunned the Internet with the Khaite set in 2019, the matching products sold out within the hour and even became one of the most-searched pieces of clothing for that year.

Holmes previously spoke to Vogue about the notorious knit cardigan-and-bra moment. "It was very comfortable and easy and I think they [Khaite] do such a good job with creating beautiful luxury items," she said. "They are very accessible and classic so you can have it for a long time, and I like to shop that way. I'm not always buying new stuff and I can wear it again."
Lately, Holmes has frequently been seen out and about with beau Emilio Vitolo, a New York City-based chef.
"Katie wasn't working or traveling as much as usual and things were slower at the restaurant for Emilio, so it really gave them the opportunity to focus on each other," a source told Entertainment Tonight in November.
