Kim Kardashian Wears Tight Nude Mugler Dress to Met Gala 2019
Kim Kardashian has made her grand entrance to the 2019 Met Gala, wearing a skin-tight dress nude dress that may or may not defy the laws of physics. The reality star showed up to the event wearing a nude, body-hugging Mugler dress that made her waist nearly invisible, dripping in beads and sequins. Her husband Kanye West, on the other hand, laid low in a black jacket and pants.

Ahead of the event, Kim teased on Twitter that her look was inspired by Sophia Loren's damp yet sexy maritime look in the 1957 film, Boy on a Dolphin. She even had her hair styled in wet waves to match the soaked outfit.
Earlier today, Kardashian revisited her past Met Gala outfits on Twitter from 2013, her first year attending, until 2018. At her Met debut, she wore a Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy floral number that would go on to inspire a famous meme.
"I was Kanye’s plus one & so nervous!" Kim recalled. "I didn’t know anyone & I’m sure no one wanted me there lol. I did my own lipstick & the color is so off. I went home & cried after of insecurity but this is one of my fave looks now."
The following year, when Kim was finally invited on her own, she wore a deep blue strapless gown by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. "Not sure why we picked blue lol," she tweeted, but she rocked the look.
The year after that, Kim went with her now-go-to naked dress in a frosty number—Peter Dundas's first design for Roberto Cavalli. "I was 2 months Pregnant with Saint & desperately trying to hide it. I felt so confident this year!" the reality star wrote. "I had more of an opinion and collaborated so well. I really felt so good this night."
In 2016, Kim and Kanye went robot route, aptly following the Manus x Machina theme in metallic Olivier Rousteing for Balmain looks. "I was back to insecure this year because I hadn’t lost all of my baby weight," she recalled. "Big mistake to bleach the brows but Kanye looked so good this year with those blue eyes! It was super controversial that he wore denim."
In 2017, she went for a light and dreamy white look by Vivienne Westwood for her first year attending solo. "I was so nervous to go by myself I almost threw up on the way & I had to pee every second," she tweeted. "I was FaceTiming my sisters to meet up at the top of the stairs. Vivienne made me this beautiful dress from her archive."
Finally, in 2018, Kim reposted the cross-covered chainmail Versace dress she wore to last year's Met. "This dress fit like a glove!" Kim said of the figure-hugging look. "I knew exactly what I wanted and was my most confident this year! 90’s, chainmail, simple and sexy."
With this year's gala, Kim's streak of head-turning red carpet looks continues.
