The Grammy Award winner is releasing her own special brand of limited-edition wines—dubbed Sun Goddess Wines—in collaboration with the prestigious Fantinel Winery, launching today. Sun Goddess is a "collection of bold, crisp, and rich wines that embody warmth, passion, energy, and a deeper connection to nature," reads an official press release detailing the news.
The collection includes two of Blige's favorite wine varietals: an Italian Pinot Grigio Ramato and Italian Sauvignon Blanc. The name "Sun Goddess Wines" stems from Blige's childhood memories with her mother and her "endless love for the warmth and energy of the sun."

"A dear friend introduced me to Marco Fantinel referring to him as the producer of the best Pinot Grigio in the world. After walking through the vineyards and tasting with the Fantinel family, I felt extremely connected to the place, and more importantly, the people," said Blige in a statement. "In that moment, I felt the same magical energy I have long tried to capture from the sun and knew this was an incredible opportunity to partner with someone who shared that passion and together we could try to create something that evoked that feeling."
Blige teased the news of her new wine collection on Instagram yesterday by posting an animated sun goddess illustration, writing, "Happy Sunday! I got a surprise coming tomorrow!! #notmusic #newmusiccomingsoon #BLM."
"We are thrilled to partner with Mary on these exquisite wines. She is an icon whose creativity, passion and strength has driven her to unparalleled success in all her endeavors," read a statement from Marco Fantinel, CEO of Fantinel Wines. "From day one, it was clear she shares our philosophy for producing wines of the highest quality, authentic expressions of our land, dedication and craftsmanship, and we could not think of a better partner and collaborator to bring customers these beautiful new wines."
