Meghan Markle Is Enchanting in a Ball Gown for Surprise Red Carpet Appearance

The Sussexes don't do date night in the public eye very often—but, when they do, they do so in style.

Last night, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan ventured out in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, to attend the red-carpet premiere of Bob Marley: One Love, a new biopic about the legendary reggae singer.

Meghan dressed to the nines for the event, opting to wear a midnight-black ball gown composed of a plain black bodice with spaghetti straps tucked into a voluminous silk taffeta skirt from Carolina Herrera's Icon collection. She accessorized the look minimally; besides her wedding ring, the only visible jewelry appeared to be a pair of hammered gold disc earrings by Jennifer Meyer.

As for Harry, he went for an easygoing navy blue suit paired with a white collared top, which he wore loosely unbuttoned, and glossy black dress shoes.

On the red carpet, the couple posed for pictures alongside producer Brian Robbins and his wife, fashion designer Tracy James, as well as Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, his wife Juliet Holness, and Parliament member Olivia Grange.

The last time we saw Meghan on a red carpet was in November, when she attended Variety's 2023 Power of Women event. At the time, she made an elegant arrival in a beige Proenza Schouler dress. The minimalist piece featured a sleek silhouette, a one-shoulder detail, and multiple leg slits at the hem. She finished off her look with a black leather bag also form Proenza Schouler, as well as gold jewelry from Merjuri and black Aquazzura pumps.
