Whether you skipped out on spring break this season or are simply looking to whisk away for the weekend, Napa Valley is the travel destination to put on your radar this month. Toasting their 5th Annual Arts in April, the Northern California go-to is set to host an array of events throughout the course of the month blending together the art and wine worlds. With vineyard tours, art exhibitions, wine tastings and more, the calendar of events makes the wine destination an even more appealing trip to take this spring. This year's Arts in April features highlights including an iPhonic Art Exhibition along with The Napa Valley Wine Train hosting "Inspiration Station."

April 1 – 30: Napa Valley Wine Train Station

Inspiration Station is a month long exhibition showcasing the original paintings and fine art giclées of Heidi Barrett, one of the world's most prominent winemakers.

April 6 – 10: Robert Mondavi Winery

Robert Mondavi Winery offers a complimentary tour of the winery's permanent collection of Beniamino Bufano's sculptures each day at 11 a.m. The tour will also include the rotating exhibit of paintings by landscape artist Gregory Kondos in the winery's famous Vineyard Room. April 11: Urban Art at the future Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens

View anonymous urban art in a truly one-of-a-kind venue at this preview tour of the Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens, a new visitor experience in American Canyon in southern Napa Valley.

April 10 and 11: Art, Sip and Stroll

The town of Yountville's art walk and wine tasting includes personal appearances by featured artists. Although the route is walkable, the Yountville Trolley offers complimentary transportation. Stop by the Yountville Community Center for the debut of the art sale, featuring forty artists.

April 13 – 19: HALL Wines

Wine & Art Exploration is a unique and inspiring tour of the winery property, home to the HALL's renowned contemporary art collection. Featured works include art from some of the most influential and internationally acclaimed artists working today, including John Baldessari, Jaume Plensa, Peter Wegner, Nick Cave, and Jim Campbell. The tour, which includes wine tasting woven into the experience, is $40 per person is offered at 11 a.m. each day.

April 19: Sullivan Vineyards

Professional artist and proprietor Kelleen Sullivan conducts a tour through the winery gallery and private residence, showcasing her current and past collections of paintings that interlace classic and contemporary techniques.

April 18: Markham Vineyards - iPhonic Art: Astonishing iPhotography

The event is 1–3 p.m. and includes an artist reception featuring a modern photography exhibit in partnership with Knox Bronson of Pixels and long-time photographer friend of the winery, Rolling Stone Magazine's first chief photographer Baron Wolman.

April 18: Culinary Institute of America at Greystone (CIA)

The culinary arts are on display at Appellation St. Helena's Annual bASH event, a delicious opportunity to sample the creative artistry of CIA students and St. Helena chefs paired with St. Helena's world famous wines. The event is 6 – 8:30 p.m. and is $100 per person.

April 25: Carlo Marchiori Art Studio

A behind the scenes tour of internationally renowned artist Carlo Marchiori's Villa Ca'Toga. This Palladian Villa is a glimpse into the private world of an artist. A large salon and six other rooms are decorated in trompe l'oeil frescoes. The gardens and grounds feature pools, statues, fountains, Roman ruins and 18th century follies.
