NYC Brand Edas Releases Limited Edition Sling-bag with Warby Parker
Cult favorite accessories brand Edas is foraying into an unexpected sector of the accessories market — eyewear. Well, bags for your eyewear, which we'd argue is pretty genius.
Edas's designer, Sade Mims, has teamed up with millennial-favorite eyewear brand Warby Parker for a new limited edition sling bag crafted to "safely stow — and celebrate — your favorite eyewear and everyday necessities." The brand's latest offering is constructed out of their signature buttery vegan leather and is available in a dreamy contrasting cornflower blue color-way, complete with a front compartment built to store one's sunnies and frames plus a zippered interior pocket that can help keep keys, cards, and more on hand. Its wraparound construction means it can be worn as a belt, a cross-body, or even as a shoulder tote.
"I wanted to really design an accessory that felt as literal and intentional as possible. It's not ambiguous and that is the point. I think its straightforwardness really makes you want to find the perfect frame to go inside it, but it also makes for an all-about-optics approach to styling," Mims tells BAZAAR.com about the new collaboration. "I thought deeply about inclusive sizing, making the strings the perfect length to have fun with, because everyone should be able to enjoy this piece. [Its functional design] feels collegiate and fun and affordable. I've been really thinking about the connection between optics and documentation here, so designing a piece that gives one room to carry less and focus more on capturing the beauty that they see right in front of them was the goal."

According to Warby Parker CEO Neil Blumenthal, partnering with Mims and Edas was an organic fit.
"Since we launched Warby Parker 12 years ago, our team has been committed to designing products that not only function but look beautiful and make consumers feel like the best version of themselves. We found an effortless partner in Sade, who shares that same commitment," Blumenthal adds."Her creativity and sense of imagination provided constant inspiration as we worked together to design a one-of-a-kind sling bag fit for glasses lovers."
The limited-edition bag is available now via edas.store exclusively and in limited quantities at Edas’s Williamsburg studio, by appointment only, priced at $195. You can also shop the bags alongside Mims at an exclusive pop-up Saturday, October 29 from 11 AM - 5 PM at 121 Greene Street, New York, NY.
