Penlope Cruz Ushers in Spring in a Floral Sequin Gown
Penélope Cruz was an absolute vision while attending the Goya Awards in Valladolid, Spain, yesterday evening.
The actor arrived on the red carpet at the event celebrating Spanish cinema in a striking floral gown covered entirely in sequins. The sleeveless, floor-length piece from Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2023 couture collection features a painterly pink, red, green, and blue floral print in colored sequins over black fabric. The dress has a pretty scoop neck and is cinched at the waist, from which a skirt of black gauze emerges and comes flowing down to the carpet.

Cruz coordinated the rest of her look with the cotton-candy pink hues of her dress, accessorizing with a massive pink stone ring and wearing a baby-pink manicure. She added some additional sparkle with a pair of dangly diamond earrings.
As for her glam, she went full Hollywood with a sparkly pink eye shadow, heavy black liner, bronzy makeup, a pouty pink lip, and a super sophisticated side-parted wavy bob that looked like a wispy cloud.

Cruz, a Chanel ambassador, has a penchant for floral gowns designed by the Parisian fashion house.
The actor also wore a springtime look from the brand last December, to walk the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her film Ferrari. The piece was a black floor-length slipdress with a colorful floral print in red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, from Chanel’s Spring 2023 haute couture collection.
And she wore another floral Chanel dress during her Ferrari press run. For the New York Film Festival’s closing-night premiere of the film, Cruz arrived in a curve-hugging gown featuring a white and red floral print and adorned with frilly white trim along the sleeveless silhouette.
“I always have a crush on the dresses that combine very big skirts with very, very tight-on-the waist tops. I think it’s so cool and timeless and elegant,” Cruz told Harper’s Bazaar last month, speaking of the custom Chanel couture gown she wore to the 14th Governors Awards in Los Angeles. “It always makes me feel so lucky, as it was my dream as a little girl to be able to wear some of these Chanel pieces.”
