Rihanna Wears Super-Sheer Pants for Dinner in New York

Rihanna knows how to celebrate.

The pop star and business mogul was photographed stepping out last night to celebrate her mother's birthday at Pastis, a restaurant in New York City's Meatpacking District. Rihanna, of course, dressed up for the occasion, choosing to wear a luxe brown leather blazer by Saint Laurent paired with ultra-sheer mesh trousers that only she could pull off.

Rih accessorized with matching studded gloves from Bottega Veneta, a graphic-printed shoulder bag by Fendi, bright-white pointed-toe pumps by The Attico, and a gold necklace courtesy of David Yurman. Her beauty beat for the evening was equally as glam, with flushed peachy cheeks, a neutral eye, and a bold berry-hued lip. She wore her hair in flowy box braids, her signature style for the moment.

Though Rihanna has managed to keep fashion fiends on their toes in recent weeks with a series of standout fits (including a shopping mall moment that included $15,000 vintage Gucci jeans), she's still making time for matters that mean the most to her, like anti-racist activism. On Sunday, the star went incognito to attend a #StopAsianHate protest alongside her assistant, Tina Truong.

Truong documented her day with the superstar, showing Rihanna crafting her own sign for the demonstration, chanting along with the crowd, and chatting with fellow protesters. Rihanna also recently spoke out on Instagram, denouncing the hate crimes plaguing the Asian-American community including the tragic shooting in Atlanta that left six Asian women dead.

"I'm heartbroken for the Asian community and my heart is with the loved ones of those we lost yesterday," wrote Rihanna at the time. "The hate must stop. #ProtectAAPILives."
