Why Lady Gaga Broke Up with Christian Carino
- Lady Gaga reportedly was the one to break up with fiancé Christian Carino, Us Weekly reports.
- Sources say the talent agent "didn't treat Gaga very well" toward the end of their relationship, he was "jealous," and he "texted her a lot."
- Gaga and Carino were first reported to be dating in early 2017, and their breakup was reported just last month.
When Lady Gaga's breakup with her talent agent-turned-fiancé Christian Carino made news last month, People reported at the time that there was no big story or drama behind the split. Now, however, we may have a little more insight on what might've caused the couple's separation.
A source told Us Weekly that Carino "didn’t treat Gaga very well toward the end of their [two-year] relationship." Another insider added that the singer was the one who broke things off with her former fiancé. "He was jealous," the source told Us. "He was trying to find her all the time and texted her a lot. Her friends didn’t like him either."

Gaga and Carino were first reported to be dating in early 2017, and romance speculation heightened when they were seen getting cozy during Super Bowl weekend that year. The duo kept quiet about their engagement, but the singer publicly confirmed the news during a speech in October 2018.
They made a number of joint appearances during the A Star Is Born press circuit and awards season, but they were through before the Oscars, and the Gaga attended the ceremony solo.

Right now, it seems the superstar hasn't moved on to a new relationship, but she has reportedly struck up a new friendship with actor Jeremy Renner. She "really leaned on" the Avengers star in the weeks after her breakup with Carino, a source told Us Weekly.
"They’ve become super close and hang out all the time," another insider added. Reports of their new bond first broke last week, but their relationship isn't believed to be romantic at the moment.
